Believer Kids Keyboard Program (Level ll) is an important module that will continue to strengthen and build upon the foundational rhythms learnt in Level l. The introduction to fill-ins and added application of enhanced chords will thrill both player and listener alike.
The thematic focus of the Journey to the Promised Land (Part ll) challenges us to follow God’s direction closely to fulfill our destiny just as the Israelites were led into the Promised Land.
Thematic Devotion: Follow Moses and the Israelites as they journey out of Egypt in search of the the Promised Land
Rhythm: Rhythm fills & Ballad
Chord Work: Basic scale and enhanced chord construction
Duration: 9-week module; 45 minutes weekly
Song Application & Techniques: Play to familiar praise & worship songs

The program has been specifically designed to impact the rising generation of kids. It presents a fun and inspiring way for children to learn to play the keyboard, minus the pressure of music grade examinations.
Classes are taught in groups of 4 to 6 in 45 min sessions for children aged between 7 to 12. Electronic keyboards are used for it's playing ease over acoustic pianos. The many sounds and features on electronic keyboards will also help maintain the child’s interest.
Is my child eligible for this program?
He/She is eligible for this module if he/she has:
i) Completed Believer Kids Keyboard Program (Level l)
ii) Had some classical piano training in the past (Grades 2-3) but has discontinued the classes
*Should you have prior playing experience, use the Online Course Allocator to identify the module most suitable for you.
NOTE: Should Believer Music Coaches find any student mismatched in any particular module, we reserve the right to transfer the student to another class after the first session to optimize the learning experience.
Is there an age limit?
We only accept registrations from ages 7 -12. We will channel students to classes of compatible age groups whenever possible.
What will be covered during the 9 weeks?
Our main objective is to equip your child to play confidently on the keyboard. We will introduce students to contemporary chords & rhythms to achieve a wider range of sounds used in current praise and worship songs emerging today. They will also get the opportunity to explore new avenues of expression by adding fills to generate more activity into their playing.
Why are there no exams for your courses?
While all our students are graded weekly, the Believer Kids Keyboard Program has been designed as a light-hearted, pressure-free environment for children to learn in.
Keyboard students normally do not take music grade examinations. However, we do adopt methods of providing incentives and targets to keep students motivated right up till the advanced courses.
Are we (parents) allowed to sit into the classes?
In the desire to create a more independent learning environment for your child, parents are not allowed to sit-in with the class
How can I help my child to enjoy the lessons?
1. Ensure the child has time for practice sessions.
2. Encourage your child as much as possible. (E.g. sing and worship along with them as they play)
3. Avoid negative criticism.
4. Make sure your child knows that you consider learning music a commitment.
5. Enrich their worship lives with worship CDs etc.
