AWDI will equip you with musical versatility through the systematic integration of passionate rhythms and advanced chord variations. Be immersed in greater song application as you approach mastery of new keys and enhanced chord forms that will set you apart from the average player. This module will build foundations crucial not only for progression to higher modules but more importantly, deeper gradations of worship.
The thematic focus on THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN (PART I) will take you on an exciting journey through time with special focus on the lives and episodes of the Biblical Patriarchs. Come to understand heaven’s calling upon your life, just as the fathers of our faith once did.
Thematic Devotion: THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN: A historical survey to understand the original purpuse for all mankind as revealed through the Patriarchs of the Faith
Harmony: Expand your vocabulary of rhythmic styles as you learn advanced syncopated rhythms that add drive to contemporary praise & worship songs
Chord Progression Immersion: Grasp the energy and intensity of chord progressions played with various rhythms
Melody Integration: Sing with your instrument through the crafting of vibrant melodic phrases and fill-ins
Duration: 11-week module; 1 hour weekly
It’s been challenging for me as I am a slow learner especially when it comes to motor skills. Knowing there is often a lack of keyboard players in my church, I pray I can pick up this skill to serve. I didn’t know that it would be such a difficult task, to manage time to practise, work and serve in other ministries. However I am certain I can do it with God’s help and the coaches’ help; they understand my difficulties and let me go at my pace, allowing me space to adapt. I pray that one day I can master it well. I will continue to train, and pray that I can make it.

I rejoined the Believer Keyboard program in Oct 2023 for refresher as I did not have time to practise & advance 12 years ago when I first took up the program due to work. I am pleased that membership is lifetime and they still accept me for refresher classes at discounted rates after 12 years. Happy that I am able to refresh my learning & skills beyond what I can do on my own and improve my playing since I rejoined. I am now more confident in playing and to advance to the new higher level. I hope I can continue and complete all the keyboard modules this year so I can freely worship God on my own & be drawn closer to God which has always been my dream since I was in University.

After about 2 weeks back in Singapore from a mission trip overseas, I decided to take up a refresher course in Believer Music. I believe worship will help me get closer to God and also fulfil my decade old dream to worship God with the keyboard.
During practice at home, I felt it was more than just learning a new skill; the practice session was opening up a new way for me to worship God. Recently, while practising the song "You Alone", I was really ministered to and encouraged by the song. I managed to worship God in a personal way with the keyboard.

Took a refresher for the worship dynamics two program to prepare myself better for the advance worship program. Glad I took the refresher course. It gave me much confidence to relearn. This time, I was able to play the keyboard even during personal quiet time. It gave me much peace. My Coach is very encouraging and patient with us. He keeps encouraging us to start playing at cell group too. Glad to be under his guidance.

Although I completed my classical piano grade 8 when I was in secondary school, I felt really handicapped and embarrassed if I were approached to play the keyboard with the worship team without any proper music scores.
Many were curious about why, with my grade 8 background, I was reluctant to serve. Most could not understand the dilemma: I could not read and play with just the alphabet chords!
I am thankful that I decided to join the Believer Keyboard Program to start my journey to learn how to play contemporary worship songs in a systematic approach. I had lots of fun practising for the first time, reading the scriptures, praying and worshipping while playing the chords. Looking forward to a new term starting in January 2024.
