Started as someone with zero guitar knowledge but the coaches have been very passionate, patient and positive in conducting their classes. I have more confidence in handling the guitar now!

I am Priscilla in my 60's. During my younger days, I learned to play the guitar from my close friend. I stopped playing because I am either tone deaf or don't know how to count the beats. During one of the Christmas gatherings, I saw one of my sisters in Christ could strum her guitar so well and lead in worship. She has inspired me to pick up my guitar once again. After finding out she has learnt how to play guitar from Believer Music and upon her encouragement, I decided to register for an acoustic guitar lesson from Believer Music.
Initially, I was nervous as I was worried about not knowing how to count the beats and when to change chords. But the music teachers are very experienced teachers. They were very patient in guiding me how to play the guitar. Due to date availability, I am currently learning how to play guitar from a jovial teacher who will break the ice at the start of each lesson to calm us down before we can go into proper lessons. I find for each lesson I get to learn something new, like new chords or new method of strum. Every week there will be a new worship song to worship God. I always look forward to attending every class and to practising what I learnt from my lessons.
Now I am about to complete my second module and in the midst of going for the third module. Highly recommended for all to go for what God has placed in your heart to pick up an instrument and make a joyous sound unto God and worship God regardless of age.

I’m truly blessed to be able to pick up my guitar skills once again after 20 years away from Believer Music (BM). I started with Believer Music at the beginner level about 20 years ago… and this year (2025) I still chose to come back as I believe their teaching modules are very structured and I like their choice of worship songs. I’m really very grateful for the coach’s patience & confidence in me. Being a slower learner, he has been very encouraging when I was feeling incompetent in getting the correct skills/techniques. Now as I’ve come to the last lesson of completing WDII, I must say that the whole experience was amazing & awesome!!! It was very therapeutic & healing for me throughout the whole process of learning! Praise God for the wonderful team at BM!!! I was influenced by one of my doctors at work to take up learning guitar, so I decided to sign up for lessons with Believer Music. I hoped that one day I’d be able to play for my cell group and also enhance my quiet time with the guitar.
I'm very glad I managed to pick up some skills from this beginner module. I’ve properly learned to master some chords through the patient teaching of my coach, including learning many different strumming patterns. In fact, I look forward to each week’s lesson, excited to play better each time. I can now change chords smoothly and use various strumming styles. I’m also glad to have learned some theory related to playing guitar.
I’ve always thought of myself as not being “musically talented” and believed I could never play an instrument. But this course has changed the way I see myself.
It has truly stirred up my interest in guitar—I really do find it fun and enjoyable to play! 😊😊😊

I started attending the Christian praise guitar class in May 2024. Due to my travel schedule, I had to reschedule my lessons a few times. I am pleased with the efficiency of the makeup scheduler on the members’ portal. I am also glad to be taught by different coaches at different centres. The Coach I had at One Commonwealth was patient and knowledgeable; he even offered to pray for my family. Another Coach also share the story about Believer Music which was very inspiring. My other Coach from International Plaza was friendly and approachable and the Coach when I was at Tampines Plaza had good teaching techniques. Overall I am thankful that I could learn basic techniques to help me play the guitar during my personal worship time. I highly recommend this course for Christians who want to play the guitar as an instrument to draw closer to God in worship.

20 years ago while we were still dating, my husband and I decided to take up Believer Music's guitar programme. 20 years later and married with teenage children, we decided it would be nice to date-through-courses again! So we're back for refresher classes with Believer Music, and enjoying the time of learning through worship. We look forward to each week's class as time specially set aside for each other and for God as we revisit familiar songs, pick up new skills, and enjoy a time of Christian fellowship with other fellow believers.
